Quick Intro
Fwguys.com mission is to provide our clients with a fast, stable and friendly WordPress Hosting platform. In order to achieve this, we do rquire our clients to use common sense and discernment when using our services in ways that do not violate the law, harm others or our network or violate the common Internet community etiquette. This document outlines what is allowed and what is prohibited.
Network Abuse
We do not tolerate any forms of network abuse including but not limited to Denial of Service attacks, any Phishing or Hacking attempts or activities, Port scans, SYN Floods, etc.
Resource Usage
The resources on our servers are shared by all our clients. As such, if a client uses more than his or her fair share of the server resources (i.e. using 25% or more of the Server’s CPU, RAM for longer than 90 seconds), it may cause performance degradation to other clients on the same server. When this happens, we will work with our clients to determine the cause (e.g. a poorly coded WordPress plugin, sudden influx of website visitors, etc) and find a suitable solution. If the client’s website has grown to the extent of requiring more resources than what is available on the shared server, we will advise the client to upgrade to his or her own VPS server or even a dedicated server. If the client refuses to listen to reason, Fwguys.com reserve the rights to terminate the client after giving a last warning.
Offensive Content
Fwguys.com do NOT tolerate the following on our servers:
- Adult content in any form (legal or illegal). No adult contents (text or images or videos). We are a family friendly hosting company.
- Content that is excessively violent, incites or threatens violence, or contains harassing content or hate speech
- Content that is deceptive under the consumer protection laws of any jurisdiction, including chain letters and pyramid schemes
- Content that is defamatory or violates a person’s privacy
- Content that exposes trade secrets or other confidential or proprietary information of another person or entity
- Content that clearly infringes on another person’s trade or service mark, patent, or other property right.
- Content that promotes illegal drugs, gambling, arms or human trafficking
Internet Relay Chat and Videos.
You may not use, or provide, open proxies or Internet Relay Chat or Video streaming because these cause tremendous strains on the servers and network resources. For video streaming, we highly recommend creating your own YouTube channel and upload your videos there as it will provide better streaming experience for your viewers. Having your own Youtube channel also helps in your website’s SERP.
Bulk Commercial Email/SPAM
Any kind of bulk emailing is strictly prohibited on our servers. If you wish to run a mailing list or
an autoresponder services, we wholly recommend Aweber – one of the industry leaders in providing quality
commercial email services.
Copyright Materials
You agree not to publish, distribute, or otherwise copy in any manner any music, software, art, or any other work
that is protected by copyright law unless you have been expressly authorized by the owner of the copyright or if you
are otherwise permitted by established U.S. copyright loaw to copy the work in that manner.
